WATERBURY VALIANT

This is really an ornate clock  It is a metal cased mantle clock with a Japanese bronze finish. Waterbury made this 8 day clock with a half-hour strike and gong. A cast gilt sash and bezel. A 51/2" ivory dial with and ivory center. Stands 18" tall and 10 7/8" wide. Made about 1906. An amazing looking clock. The Valiant came with what we have always called the Star movement. This is a good quality movement has a record of keeping good time.  This is a half-hour strike movement that counts on a quite gong.
