This is an interesting clock. The face is just wonderful and has unusual red numbers 15 30 45 on the dial along with the Roman numerals. The
black marble is in fine condition with the front incised with stylized tulips and anthuriums. This art work along with the lines of the clock case make this a wonderful creation of a Paris clock company. Stands 13" high
. The movement on this clock is signed J. R. & Cie., Paris and both the the movement and pendulum are numbered 508. This clock runs quietly and counts the hours on a delicate sounding gong. The glass
is domed and slightly beveled to match the face perfectly. |
